April 4, 2009 - Revelation!

This, my two thousand fifty year revelation, was inspired by Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Cassius (the antagonist senator who plants the seed to kill JC in Brutus' mind) behaves almost exactly as our own dirty politicians -- Blago, Bush, Daley, etc. That stuff was going on in 44 b.c... 2050 years ago...and we are still at it. It really does not matter. We have been studying, hashing and rehashing, the past in order "not to make the same mistakes" and yet, here we are in 2009, taking bribes, selling political seats, and behaving just as badly as the Romans in 44 b.c. As dark as this revelation seems, it brought light and a lightness to me and around stuff that really tends to frustrate me. We can all focus on our own journey, because thousands of years of "learning" has not done a thing to change the journey of another. I do not have to spend energy on others to make the world a better place. That will NEVER matter. It is equivalent to running in place. It is wearing me out and not doing a thing to change any one else. I only have to relax and look inside me for change and growth and wisdom. If I can change me, everything else around me will also ...gently and automatically... change with me.
